FAMILY READING NIGHT – Friday June 1st
Comments (0) Our second annual Reading Night was definitely a night to remember! Thank you to all of our amazing students, teachers, parents, faculty members and special guests who helped make this event so spectacular. We had a great turnout and our kids were really proud to show off their reading skills – especially in front of their parents and teachers. The evening started out with special readings from our very own published teachers, Leslie Stewart and Morri Spang. Then the Independent Shakespeare Company helped our kids warm up with some great vocal exercises. Local children’s book author Jason Silva (recommended by Atwater’s Alias bookstore) read to us from his fantastic book ‘The Tale of Edgar Trunk’, as well as giving us a special sneak preview from its soon to be released sequel! Finally, our students did a truly exceptional job showing off their reading skills. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone for helping make this such a great Glenfeliz tradition.
