After School Program

We now have a Research and Development Committee to tackle our biggest goal of creating an Alternative After School Program.

Glenfeliz Elementary currently has LA's Best and Beyond the Bell programs, both of which are wonderful programs; but we want to create another option for our students.
We are hoping that this new program will offer more enriching opportunities to our children. The possible activities are: Fine Arts, Music, Theater/Drama, Math/Science, Computer Skills, Ballet/Yoga, to name a few.

The Committee will soon be distributing a survey to all parents at school to understand the need and the wish of the community. If you are interested in serving in Research and Development Committee, or have any suggestion, please contact us at kei@friendsofglenfeliz.org.

Halloween Bake Sale Booth

Thank You!!

Halloween Bake Sale:
We had a successful bake sale on Friday, October 31. We raised about $400! We thank Christ's Church at Griffith Park for letting us use a big section of their parking lot during their Halloween Festival. We also thank those who baked and manned the booth!

Election Day Bake Sale:
Gabriela Kornzweig sat in front of the Polling Station (our school!)and sold coffee, donuts, cookies and muffins for several hours. We netted closed to $100. Thank you, Gabriela!

BANNER PROGRAM

The Banner Program invites our local business owners to purchase a banner to advertise their businesses on a school fence.
100% of the proceeds from this program will be used to fund the school's new LED sign. The LED sign will help the school communicate their upcoming events and important dates with the student body and the Atwater Village residents.
