What a night that was!
|
SILENT AUCTION: A BIG SUCCESS
FOG's very first Silent Auction on March 7th was a BIG SUCCESS!
We want to thank all of you who attended this event.
The
final number isn't in yet, but we can safely estimate that this event
raised over $6000! But regardless of how much we raised, it
was the sense of community that made the event so successful. Our
local community's support for FOG and Glenfeliz Elementary was
overwhelming, apparent from the over 130 items auctioned that
night. We want to thank Grain and Black Maria Gallery for donating their spaces, and thank Viet Noodle Bar for donating delicious Vietnamese sandwiches. We also want to thank Little Bird Gallery for hosting the Student Art Exhibit.
Delicious hors d'oeuvres (recipes by Lisa Bingham) were served throughout the event, while sweet & kid-friendly music from Seth Freeman (a local parent/ song writer), and Patrick Dore & Dan Hanken (a parent and a buddy duo), created a cozy ambience. All of these were donated... Thank you all!
With this successful Silent Auction, we're looking ahead to the coming year. Thank you for your continuing support, and we hope to see you again soon!

eBAY AUCTION 2ND ROUND
During
the Silent Auction, Modi Frank and Eric Scoppetta of Giving Engine were
working busily in the corner of the gallery, projecting images of what
were being auctioned off on FOG's eBay site. We used eBay for
"high-profile" items, such as autographed swags from TVshows, that
could get high bids online from eBay shoppers around the world.
Our
first round ended on March 8 and the second round will begin very soon,
so please visit our eBay site often to see if there's anything you or
your family/ friend might want on their pedestals!!
